Current affairs is also part of a St. Johnian’s life. They acquire understanding of different social issues in our society through different media, discuss amongst themselves and voice out the injustice. Whenever there are some special issues, there will be special reports on display boards or by video shows introducing the relevant information. Sometimes, a discussion group will be held to let them exchange their opinions. St. Johnians also join some social activities like Joint Hall Social Services Project and Tsunami fund rasing, which provide them with chances to contact people from other social strata. They also actively participate in some campaigns fighting for social justice like the candle vigil for 4 June Tiananmen Incident.
