St. John's College has given me an opportunity to join activities and hall events just like any other full-time students and the events were conducted in mostly English. The College will always have a special place in my heart.

Staying in St. John's making my exchange so special and meaningful

“What have I gotten myself into” that’s how I felt in my first few days of orientation in a place that I can now call my home in Hong Kong.

My expectations were not very high when I first arrived at St. John's College thinking that this place will only be a place for me to stay for one year. Yet, St. John's College has given me an opportunity to join activities and hall events just like any other full-time students and the events were conducted in mostly English. I cannot deny the fact that I was overwhelmed by the hall culture at first, but because of all the activities, I was able to try new things and made friends whom I sincerely wish I can continue seeing.

Living in a college for the first time, I’ve realised that there are so many different perspectives to just one thing, and communicating to understand where one’s voices come from is important.

I hope that St. John's College keeps on challenging the idea of what an ideal college is! Thank you all St. Johnians to making my exchange so special and meaningful. St. John's College will always have a special place in my heart.
