Master

Dr. Kwok Chun WONG, an alumnus of the Second Floor, is appointed to be Master in 2022. He was the Dean of the College from 1995 to 2022. He obtained a Bachelor's and Doctorate degree from the Department of Real Estate and Construction of the University of Hong Kong. He is now Associate Professor in the Department of Real Estate of HKU.

Assistant Master

Mr. LEE is an alumnus of the Fourth Floor and was formerly the Chairperson of the Science Society, HKUSU and the Chairperson of the College Students’ Association. He was formerly the Chief Executive of TBWA Hakuhodo in China. He was awarded the Player of the Year of the University Volleyball Team and the College Contribution Award.

Chaplain

Rev. Dr. CHONG received his education and professional training in Engineering, Anthropology and Archaeology, Philosophy from University of Malaya, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Columbia University, University of London, and Cambridge University.

Undergraduates' Tutor

Mr. SHOIKOT is an alumnus of 1st floor. He graduated from HKU in 2021 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science) degree with first-class honours. He is currently working as a Software Engineer, focusing on blockchain and AI software development.

Senior Undergraduates' Tutor 

Mr. PAN is a First Floor alumnus. He enrolled in the Bachelors of Engineering and of Business Administration programme under HKU Full Scholarship in 2016. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2020. He is currently a fifth-year student of the double degree programme and a Director of St. John’s College Alumni Association.

Undergraduates' Tutor

Mr. CHEUNG is a 1st Floor alumnus. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences (Global Health and Development) degree with a Minor in Counselling in 2023. He is now pursuing post-graduate studies in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He also serves as a Councillor at the Medical Students Council (2024 - 2025) and leads a student-led organization that delivers free health education and services to the local community in the name of Medical Society, HKU. His academic interests include primary health care and mental health and wellbeing, along with a general interest in music and film. 

Undergraduates' Tutor 

Mr. ZHU is the tutor of the 4th Floor (from 2021) and an alumnus of the 2nd Floor (2017-2021). He graduated from HKU in 2021 with a Bachelor of Finance, minoring in Mathematics, under HKU Full Scholarship. He was formerly the College Choir Master (2019-2020) and became a tutor of the College in 2021. Mr. ZHU currently works at a Chinese investment bank.

Mr. ZHU is an amateur Calligrapher who occasionally produces calligraphy works for the College and the Floor. Mr. Zhu is interested in hiking, running, and reading.

Mr. TSE is an alumnus of 5th floor and an affiliated member of 10th floor. He graduated from HKU in 2022 with a Bachelor of Finance (Asset Management and Private Banking) degree. He is currently working in Finance.

Mr. SAMSON is an alumnus of the Sixth Floor and an affiliated member of the Eighth Floor. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology in 2023. He is currently completing a Master of Public Health in Health Economics, Policy and Management from HKU.

Undergraduates’ Tutor

Dr. LI is a Seventh Floor alumnus, graduated from the University of Hong Kong’s Bachelor of Dental Surgery program in 2024. She represented the HKU Hockey Team and has played in the HK hockey league with the St. John’s alumni team, Aquila. Dr. Li had several academic publications and was awarded the Young Surgeon’s Award at an international conference in craniomaxillofacial surgery. After graduation, she became a tutor at the College in 2024 and now works as a private dental surgeon.

Ms. SHARMIN is an alumnus of Seventh Floor. She graduated from HKU in 2022 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering with first-class honours. She is currently a PhD candidate at HKU in the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, working in the field of optics and photonics.  Her research focuses on the development of novel laser-based imaging and microscopy modalities for biomedical and environmental applications.

Ms. Julia LEE is an alumnus of the Ninth Floor and an affiliated member of the First Floor. She graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelors of Business Administration, Marketing in 2022.

Ms. NGAN is an alumnus of Tenth Floor and an affiliated member of First Floor. She graduated from the University of Hong Kong with Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) in 2023. She currently works in a leading local bank.

Senior Postgraduates' Tutor 

Mr. CHAN first joined the College when he started his PhD in medicine. He served as the Chairman of SJCPGSA, academic tutor and residential tutor. Chris is also a member of the Fifth Floor and an affiliated member of the Ninth Floor. His current medical research and practice focus on integrating Chinese and conventional medicine for various conditions.

Postgraduates' Tutor 

Ms. MORÁN graduated from HKU with a Master in International and Public Affairs in 2024. She previously graduated from Universidad Pontificia Comillas and HEC Montréal with a Bachelor in Business Administration, concentrating in finance. Alejandra has professional experience in consulting at Accenture Strategy, as well as in foreign affairs at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, while stationed at the Embassy of Spain in the United Arab Emirates. She currently works at the Trade Section of the European Union Office in Hong Kong and Macao, which is part of the European External Action Service. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, gathering with friends and listening to music.

Mr. Leo LIU is an alumnus of First Floor and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Science (Computing & Data Analytics). He is now working at a venture capital firm E15VC as their Entrepreneur-in-residence.

Mr. SHEN is a PhD candidate at the Department of Geography of The University of Hong Kong, whose research focuses on the socio-cultural geography of the Anthropocene environmental practice and sustainable development in Southwest China. Before joining HKU, he obtained his MPhil with Distinction in Social and Economic History from University of Cambridge, as well as BE in Urban-Rural Planning and BEc in Economics from Peking University.

Mr Shen has been a St. Johnian since the autumn of 2021.

Ms. ZHOU is a third year PhD candidate in Economics at The University of Hong Kong, focusing on international trade, urban and innovation. Before joining HKU, she obtained her MPhil in Economics degree from University of Oxford and Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from The University of Sydney. Ms. ZHOU enjoys swimming, reading, movies and photography. 

College Affairs Manager

Ms. AU is an alumna of the Ninth Floor, and an affiliated member of the Sixth Floor. She graduated from HKU in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Science and Leisure Management. She is the Vice-Chairperson of St. John's College Alumni Association. She was the Sports Captain of the St. John’s College Students’ Association in 2000-01.

Ms. WU obtained a Bachelor's and Master’s degree from the Mechanical Engineer and Applied Project Management of the University of Adelaide. She was formerly the Vice President and Marketing Director of AUCSA. She was formerly the MT at FESCO (affiliated to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Beijing).
